About AllardSoft

AllardSoft is the software development unit of Allard Consulting Australia Pty Ltd. Allard Consulting started with security consulting in 1999 and over the years, we've built numerous custom installations of firewalls, mailservers, network monitoring systems, IPsec vpn concentrators, and other purpose built systems. In 2003 we used all that knowledge and launched our first product.

The goal from the start has been to create great, affordable and easy to use systems, the kind that we wanted to use ourselves. Both the Mailserver and the Secure Filetransfer appliance has come out of need that we've identified from talking to customers. With your feedback, hopefully more products will follow.

A couple of quick facts about who we are and what we do:

• We believe that great software is easy to use, and that too many options will limit, rather then assist, the usability of a solution.
• We build virtual appliances that we want use ourselves. The evolvement over time is purely based on feedback from customer who use the products in their companies and organisations.
• We believe in the power of defaults and that great software needs to be secure by default. All our solutions are based on OpenBSD — the most secure operating system in the world.
